Last updated 31st March, 2022

Nowadays we can often find ourselves attached to our screens, so it’s nice to occasionally get back to playing physical games like pool, ping pong and table football with our family and friends. But if you’re not sure which game to buy to keep everyone entertained, your best bet is a multi games tables. Being multi-purpose, these tables are typically convertible rotational or flip-top tables where each orientation of a surface or layer of the table will offer a new game.

In this post we’ll cover the reasons why you should consider buying a multi games table, reviews of our top 7 recommended products, and below that you’ll find a handy buying guide to walk you through the decision of which one is best for you.

Why buy a multi games table?

Multiple games in one

Lots of people invest in a games table, only to get bored of that one given game. With a multi games table you get, well, multiple games, meaning the sheer variety of activities on offer should keep you and your fellow players entertained for hours.

Efficient use of space

As all the games on offer in any multi games table are contained within one package, they offer a lot with a small footprint. This will help you save on space, especially if you live in a smaller or already full home. You will also find that many of the tables listed below offer unique storage solutions, further reducing the impact they have on your living space.

Top 7 Multi Games Tables and Tabletops

Below we have reviewed our seven favourite tables, taking into account product pricing, style, size, quality and much more in our endeavour to find the best multi-games tables on the market this year. We first cover full-sized tables that can be enjoyed by the whole family, before looking at smaller tables for kids.

1. Strikeworth Multi Games Table (6ft)

With a premium price comes premium features—something the Strikeworth Multi Games Table is packed with. Its three games are achieved by a unique rotating table design which sees the central board of the table rotate on its axis, while the legs remain firmly on the ground. This safe and sturdy game-changing mechanism makes switching games relatively easy to do. On either side of the table you will find a 6-foot pool table and an equally large air hockey table (which requires power to play). The third game, table tennis, can be played by placing two supplied table tennis top panels over the top of the board. Being a larger table with locked legs, the Strikeworth will need to be a centre-piece style table, thus making it more adequate for dedicated games rooms. It’s also worth noting that there is a 7-foot version of this table for those wanting the bigger option.

What's more, it's the less obvious features that make this table even more impressive; adjustable height feet (perfect for any house), built-in storage racks (great to store your accessories in a busy house), and a high-quality air hockey fan motor. All things considered, the Signature Redford Multi Games Table is our top pick for more than just a few reasons!

This is due to its tasteful wooden finishes and top board which doubles up as a dining surface, on one side, and a table tennis top on the other. The table has a spinning central portion to access its other two offerings of pool and air hockey, the latter requiring power. All gaming accessories can be neatly stored in or on the perimeter of the table, which ensures it can see its true multi-purpose potential as a dining table. The Tekscore 5-foot Folding Leg Multi Games Table is quite a unique table. It also sports two fixed game surfaces, instead of interchangeable tops. In this case, to access both games you flip the entire table, using the unique table-leg design in order to access the second game. It’s also worth noting that this unique design permits the table to be easily stored vertically, providing a relatively small footprint when not in use. The table also contains a small storage area to keep all the included accessories, meaning cues, balls, pucks and hockey-pads should never go astray.

  • Size: 5ft

6. Tekscore Goal 21-in-1 Multi Games Table (4ft)

Yes, you read that right. This Tekscore Goal 21-in-1 table boasts an impressive 21 unique games to be played all on one table. Utilising a handful of rotating table layers, all the games are easily accessed and swapped between on the fly. Of course, looking at the games list, a couple may be a little bit of a cop-out, but even discounting the near-duplicate games you’re left with at least 12 unique games you and your kids can enjoy. We mention kids, as the table is best suited to young audiences, standing 71cm tall. Given the wealth of games on offer with this table, it weighs in at 25kg, which may prove a little too heavy to be manoeuvred by younger users. Similarly, as its legs are not foldable this table will take up more space in whichever room it lives. But, that said, when providing 21 unique games, that is certainly not a bad trade-off!

  • Size: 4ft
  • Material: Not stated
  • Weight: 25kg
  • Legs: Braced, locked, removable legs
  • Games: Table Football, Football with a goal net, Pool/billiards, Basketball, glide hockey with hockey sticks, glide hockey with pushers, ‘ice hockey’, snakes & ladders, Table tennis, Shuffleboard, ring toss, bowls, chess, draughts, backgammon, dice, cards, noughts and crosses, 3-way chess, dominoes, activity table.

Buying Guide

With a wealth of tables out there, it’s hard to know which one will suit your needs, lifestyle and space constraints. But fear not, below we cover the main things to consider when buying a multi games table.

Size affects a lot when considering games tables; predominantly who will be able to play on the table, and how the table will be stored. Generally speaking, 4-5ft tables are targeted towards children, while 6-7ft tables are full-sized and can be enjoyed by the whole family. So it’s worth starting by thinking about who you expect to be using the table most. Regarding storage, overall size does matter, but what is more important is considering the storage solutions built into the device—something we will cover in a moment.

Game selection

Consider who you are buying the table for, and what their favourite games are. Are they foosball fans? Do they like table tennis? Are they not a fan of pool? Here, it’s important to select the table that has the right games for your players. And this doesn’t always mean getting the table with the most games available.

Quality of gameplay

At first glance, more games may seem like better value, but playing 1 top-notch game can be a lot more fun than a handful of knock-offs. As such, the quality of board, accessories and general gameplay is a huge consideration. This is a consideration across all games, but it can affect some more than others. For example, more expensive tables will often have power-outlets to create air flow for a great air hockey experience, while cheaper tables often result in non-air hockey alternatives. With that in mind, it’s worth making sure that the table you are looking at will deliver a high-quality experience of your favourite game.

Considering storage comes in three steps; firstly you should ask how much space you have for the table, secondly whether you want to put the table away between uses and thirdly you need to consider the size of table suitable for whoever will be playering. With these three considered you should be able to figure out whether storage solutions are a priority for you. Generally, smaller tables are much easier to store away and provide a wider array of fold-away solutions while larger tables are better suited to games room type setups due to being weighty, fixed structures. That said, there are certainly exceptions in both camps.

Of course, your budget is going to be one of your major considerations. However, it’s always worth acknowledging that difference between something being cheap and good value. Some of the most inexpensive boards may turn out to be cheap, providing a sub-par experience which is not likely to last well under heavy use. In this way, tables which use poor quality materials may need to be replaced after a while—making them in fact cost you more! So while it’s valuable to stick within a certain budget you set yourself, you should feel confident that you are getting good value for money.

Multi games tables are a great choice for fans of the games room experience, providing a wide range of fun options in one table. But while all the multi games tables in our list are a lot of fun, they are suited to different audiences. We’d recommend the Tekscore Goal 21-in-1 table if your priority is to keep kids entertained, as it provides them with the widest array of games which should put smiles on their faces for weeks on end. For adults looking for a full-sized table, we would recommend the Pureline Multi Game and Dining Table due to its hybrid functionality which allows you to get the full games room experience without dedicating an entire room to it. That said, our list has highlighted a bunch of different tables for a variety of preferences and budgets, so if those two don’t quite suit what you’re looking for we are sure you’ll find the right one in the list above.
